Renovation of an existing space to create a new gymnasium, chapel and multifunction room. Materials were carefully selected for maximum durability for active gym use, but also for beauty for when the space is used as a chapel. Two skylights run the full length of the room. Floor markings are stained, rather than painted, to complement the wood end walls. The interior of the ark containing the Torah scrolls is of Jerusalem limestone to create a contrast with the adjacent wood finish.
